Vira Popruha, a student of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, took part in the Ukrainian Women’s Checkers -100 Cup. According to the results of the competition, the athlete won two bronze medals.
The second level tournament of Ukraine took place in Rivne from July 3 to 11. 26 athletes (14 men and 12 women) from 10 regions of the country took part in the competition. In the women’s competition, half of the participants were one grandmaster and 5 masters of sports. The first part of the Cup of Ukraine was opened by a tournament with classic time control. Tournaments with fast (15 minutes + 10 seconds) and lightning (5 minutes + 3 seconds) game control accounted for the second part of the competition. The athlete is currently preparing for the online European Youth Checkers -100 Championship.
