We congratulate Elizabeth Khristenko, student of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, with winning the silver medal in the taekwondo competition at the European Universities Games – 2022 in Lodz, Poland. It should be recalled that at the beginning of the full-scale aggression of Russia, during the shelling, Elizabeth was injured, was treated for a long time, and after treatment she found the strength to resume training and prepare for the competition. At the competition she first defeated an experienced taekwondist from Poland, and in the second round she defeated a very strong and unyielding opponent from Germany. In the final bout Elizaveta lost to the representative of Great Britain. Considering all the dramatic circumstances, we can say that the silver medal of our athlete has a gold shine. There are more training and competitions ahead – the ascent to Olympus continues.
