October 15, at “QS in Conversation” in Kaunas, the British consulting company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) announced QS University Rankings: “Emerging Europe and Central Asia 2020”.
First published in 2014, the Emerging Europe and Central Asia Rankings (QS EECA) is one of the most influential world university rankings. Ranking uses a methodology adapted from the overall QS World University Rankings. A total of 10 factors are assessed: Academic and Employer Reputation, Faculty Student Ratio, Papers per Faculty from Scopus, International Research Network Index, Web Impact from Webometrics, Citations per Paper from Scopus, Proportion of Staff with PhD, Proportion of International Students and Faculty.
The number of universities from Ukraine in QS EECA rating is steadily increasing: in 2015 was ranked 9, in 2016 – 14, in 2017 – 16, in 2018 – 18, in 2019 – 20 universities.
In total, 350 universities are ranked this year. NURE first time ranked in the group 241-250. Among Ukrainian universities we ranked 11th, among Kharkiv universities – 3rd, behind KhNU and KhPI.
