24.01.2019

From 15.01.2019 till 18.01.2019 Maxim Kolesnik, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Cybernetics, took part in a project session on the development of a quality assurance system for higher education in Belgium and its features in the French-speaking part of Valonia.  This planned stage was held within the framework of the Erasmus + KA2 project “Implementation of the Quality Assurance System Through University-Business-Government Cooperation in the Higher Educational Institutions” (EDUQAS). Experts from the University of Liege presented to the attention of the Ukrainian and Kazakhstan participants  the Valonian Higher Education Quality Assessment Agencies (AEQES), the High Council for Higher Education and Science Assessment (HCERES) and the University of Lorraine France.

The main task of the EDUQAS project is to improve the quality culture in the higher education institutions of the partner countries by modernizing management and updating quality standards in accordance with the best EU practices.  The key idea is to transform the approach to improving programs as “additional components” to actively attracting external stakeholders both to the internal assessment of the quality of programs and to the processes of their self-assessment and reporting.  The consortium unites 17 full and 12 associate partners from the European Union, Ukraine, Kazakhstan with the implementation period in 2017-2020.

According to the results of negotiations with the project coordinator, NURE is expected to join the ranks of participants for the further development of an effective national quality assurance system for higher education in Ukraine.  Also an agreement was reached on cooperation with European universities in the field of credit mobility.
