Despite the full-scale aggression of russia against Ukraine, which led to severe consequences in the field of education, on September 6 at the meeting chaired by Acting Rector of NURE Igor Ruban the resumption of funding of departments on the KPI system was proclaimed.
By the decision of the Academic Council of NURE on January 31, 2020, the University introduced a system of department funding based on the concept of key performance indicators (KPIs). The approach is based on the distribution of funds according to clear criteria in accordance with performance results. KPI indicators depend on the scale of educational activities (student enrollment), publication activity of scientific and pedagogical staff (Scopus and WoS scientometric data), the amount of funding for research activities (funds from the state budget and contractual activities, international projects), the amount of income to the special fund (funds from contract) students).
Each department received funding depending on the results of their work and an incentive to develop more dynamically.
