Ukrainian Statehood Day is a holiday that is both young and full of deep meaning. It was established in 2021, and four tridents were chosen as the symbol to denote struggle, independence, history, and identity.
The purpose of this holiday is to disprove the myth that Ukraine is a young state, because our coat of arms was a sign of Prince Volodymyr the Great and we are inheriting Kyivan Rus.
So, today, as we greet each other, let’s remember the thousand-year history of Ukraine, honor with a minute of silence all those who fought and died for the independence of our country and thank our defenders! Happy holiday!
