Lessons of “Young IT-Scholar” Circle for schoolchildren started in NURE

October 7 at the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics at the Software Engineering Department began free classes for schoolchildren of 9-11 forms to get acquainted with the speciality Software Engineering. Classes are held every Thursday in the evening.
An introductory course to the discipline of Databases, taught by Oksana Mazurova, Associate Professor of the SE Department, has begun. Schoolchildren study the basics of relational databases, the construction of logical data schemes, the basic syntax of the SQL language and use them to build their own databases. In the future the developed databases will be used in a web application, which the schoolchildren will program in future classes in the circle.
During the whole course of this academic year it is planned to cover such subjects as: Databases, Fundamentals of Web Design, Linux Architecture, Python Programming Language, Game Development Theory, etc.
The coordinator of the circle is Natalya Rusakova, Associate Professor, and Alexander Vechur, an expert consultant on working with gifted young people.
About 30 listeners signed up for the lessons of the group, also everyone can join the classes at the link.
