The topic of the conversation is how veterans can start a career in the IT sector.

What they discussed:

– about the advantages of working in the IT field and the difficulties that specialists may face;

– about the stereotypes that exist and what a routine working day actually looks like;

– about internships and lifelong learning if you want to grow your career;

– about the opportunities currently available in this area for veterans.

Many veterans go to work in the IT sector after their service and acquire new knowledge, including with the support of the IREX Veterans Reintegration Program.

Areas of the Program:

1️. Psychosocial support.

2️. Assistance in employment of veterans.

3️. Cooperation with government agencies and support for NGOs working with veterans.

Live broadcasts are one of the ways to interact and support veterans, their families and the professionals who help them.

The IREX Veterans Reintegration Program is implemented by IREX in Ukraine with the support of the U.S. Department of State.
