Huawei announces a competitive selection for participation in the global program “Seeds for the Future -2020” (Seeds for the Future Sky Program 2020).  The company has been implementing this project since 2008.  It started in Ukraine in 2016 and is supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The best students of the world’s universities have the opportunity to learn about industry trends, features of 4G and 5G technologies, the Internet of Things, cloud solutions, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity from leading experts in the field of information and communication technologies.
As “Seeds for the Future” is held online in 2020, the company provides an opportunity for more students to participate in the program.
The most active and persistent students will receive prizes and an opportunity to do an internship at Huawei Ukraine with the prospect of further employment!
You will join the global alumni community of Global Alumni Connections.
A meeting will be organized online and (or) in the office of Huawei UKRAINE for the participants of the program of different years in order to exchange experiences and establish contacts.
Deadline for submission of applications for participation in the competition: until 10.10.2020.
Dates of the online program in Ukraine: from 19 to 23 October 2020 inclusive.
Topics of the “Seeds for the Future 2020” program

1. Basic curriculum (compulsory courses for all students):

1.1.  Meet Huawei.

1.2.  Technologies: 5G network: connect the world, connect to the future;  advanced technologies and trends in the field of cloud computing;  artificial intelligence: creating an intellectual world of the future.

2. Additional elective courses: students choose courses that meet their interests:

2.1.  Fundamentals of cybersecurity: expert experience.

2.2.  E-commerce.

2.3.  Digital economy.

2.4.  Industry trends.

2.5.  Leadership:

2.5.1.  Leadership skills;

2.5.2.  Management and intercultural communication.

3. Chinese culture: students have access to content at any time.

3.1.  Speeches and lectures by business representatives on new technologies.

3.2.  Online Chinese language courses (flexible learning schedule).

Students who successfully pass the exams after the online lectures will receive a certificate of completion of the program “Seeds for the Future – 2020” from Huawei UKRAINE and will be awarded prizes.

Conditions for obtaining certificates and prizes:

1. Completion of all mandatory online courses and active involvement in the learning process.

2. Successful exams in mandatory online courses (must be passed at least

60 points out of 100):

2.1.  ICT Basic Courses (all from the list below):

2.1.1.  5G Basic: Introduction to 5G Knowledge;

2.1.2.  AI Basic: Overview of AI;

2.1.3.  Cloud Computing Basic: A Brief Introduction to Cloud Computing;

2.1.4.  Introduction of HMS Core.

2.2.  ICT Advanced Courses (1 from the list below):

2.2.1.  5G Advanced: 5G Network Architecture and Key Technologies;

2.2.2.  AI Advanced: Overview of Machine Learning and Deep Learning;

2.2.3.  Cloud Computing Advanced: Architecture and Technologies.
In addition to the main program of the course, participants will be able to take part in an essay competition on the topic:

“Letter to yourself from 2030”, in which students should describe how they imagine life in Ukraine and in the world in 2030.  The five students with the best works will receive a valuable prize – a HUAWEI laptop.
For whom is the Seeds for the Future 2020 program?

Huawei provides for the participation of students (starting from the third year of study) (completed the second year) and graduates who received a diploma in 2020.
Criteria for selection of participants:

Specialization of students and graduates of 2020:

1. Technical specialties (STEM): telecommunications, radio physics, artificial intelligence, IT, cloud computing, cybersecurity, energy (thermal power, solar energy);

2. Non-technical specialties with high learning outcomes and the desire to work in the field of information and communication technologies.

• High learning outcomes (83-100 points in specialized subjects).

• Knowledge of English Intermediate and above.

• Experience in projects and participation in competitions in the specialty.

• Interest in future employment in the field of information and communication technologies.
To participate, candidates must send the following documents to an e-mail address.

1. Motivation letter in Ukrainian (from 1 to 2 pages).

Topic: “How will I use the knowledge and skills gained during the” Seeds for the Future “program in the future?”

2. Application in Ukrainian (name of educational institution, institute, faculty, department, specialty, specialization, educational qualification level, average score for 2019-2020 academic year, participation in competitions, contests, conferences, achievements in scientific work (topics of theses, publications  ), the presence of patent developments, etc.).

An individual online interview in Ukrainian and English will be conducted with those who meet these criteria.
