The ICPC Challenge powered by Huawei has just finished in Shenzhen, marking the second year in a row that the event has been held in China. The championship is jointly organised by Huawei and the International Collegiate Programming Championship (ICPC). It brings together the best programmers from around the world to discuss solutions to real-world industry problems, as well as key technology trends and future challenges. This year’s event brought together over 90 coaches and participants from 35 countries and regions.
The championship is part of Huawei’s ongoing initiative to open up research platforms in the fields of devices, computing, and communications.
Since 2019, Huawei and ICPC have been jointly organising the ICPC Challenge, which has become a significant event in the world of programming. In 2023, the first ICPC Challenge Championship powered by Huawei was held. The event is mainly targeted at the winners of previous ICPC Challenges, as well as outstanding participants in ICPC regional competitions and world finals, providing a networking and competition platform for top programming talents.
During the Championship competition, participants had five hours to program a solution for the task of optimal selection of photo chronicles, which is closely related to our daily lives. The championship tested not only the participants’ programming and optimisation skills, but also their modelling and innovative thinking abilities.
