The STEM Girls branch confirmed its status in the 2023-2023 academic year.
The team of the branch on the basis of the MTS Department submitted reports for the 2023-2024 academic year, which confirmed the status of the branch and received a confirmation certificate. The branch coordinators summarized the results of the past year and created a plan of initiatives for the next year. The #GirlsSTEM branch at the MTS Department has been operating since 2020, annually confirming its status.
The Girls STEM branch actively promotes gender equality and sustainable development of the university’s SDGs. Its activities, carried out within the framework of the “Springboard to Equality” project with the support of the Swedish government, are an important step towards creating a favorable environment for women in science and technology. The initiatives introduced by the branch help to expand opportunities for women in STEM fields and contribute to increasing their representation in scientific and technical positions.
