Chess and checkers club “Shahrad” KNURE – the best student chess and checkers club in Ukraine.
Every year personal and team competitions among students are held at the Shahrad School, personal and team competitions are held among students, teachers and university staff, over 30 regional, All-Ukrainian and international tournaments, festivals, and friendly matches with the strongest chess players from KNURE, Kharkov, Ukraine and other countries.
The KNURE national teams in chess and checkers are two-time winners of the team championship of universities in Kharkov, chess players are silver medalists of the 2nd Ukrainian sports games among universities.
