The Center for Innovation Development (CID) is a structural unit of the University, created to implement the University’s sustainable development policy in innovation, development, and support of the University’s innovation ecosystem. It is subordinated to the Rector of the University.
The purpose of the CID is:
- Organisation and support of knowledge-intensive ideas and innovations;
- technology transfer;
- Implementation of innovative and experimental work ideas in the educational process;
- Implementation of entrepreneurial initiative at the University;
- support of fundamental and applied research of departments and laboratories;
- Involvement of scientists, teachers, and students in solving scientific problems;
- commercialisation of scientific research.

General, legal, organisational, and other principles of the Center’s functioning are determined by the Regulations on the Centre for Innovation Development of NURE.
