Within the framework of the educational program “Technical Information Protection Systems”, students are trained in technical information protection, namely, preventing information leakage through radio-electronic, vibroacoustic and visual-optical channels; they are taught technical means of intelligence, elements of economic and industrial espionage, means of monitoring the effectiveness of protection, organizing information protection and countering intruders.
The goal of the program is to train highly qualified specialists capable of ensuring comprehensive technical security of information activity objects. Applicants acquire knowledge and practical skills in the development, implementation and operation of modern technical means of protection, as well as analysis of vulnerabilities of information security objects. The program is focused on developing skills in using monitoring systems, access control and implementing effective security measures to ensure the reliability and stability of information resources in various areas of activity from various threats.
Basic skills and competencies that a bachelor will possess in the educational program “Technical Information Protection Systems”:
1. Ability to determine the presence of information threats in automated systems
2. Ability to organize monitoring of the state of the information system and analyze information security violations
3. Ability to use a comprehensive information protection system in the organization
4. Ability to solve problems of developing, implementing and maintaining systems for monitoring sources of dangerous signals and to analyze and process signals of various physical nature
5. Ability to use software and hardware and cryptographic methods of technical information protection
6. Ability to use software protection tools against unauthorized copying, the influence of computer viruses, etc.
7. Ability to use information technologies to solve experimental and practical tasks in the field of professional activity
8. Ability to design at the structural and circuit-technical levels of hardware for technical information protection and communication means
9. Ability to conduct special studies of information activity objects in accordance with regulatory documents in the field of IT
10. Ability to detect and localize sources of dangerous signals at information activity facilities
