Awards and Honors

The medals “For Labor Valor”, “Veteran of Labor”, a certificate of merit from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the badge “For Excellence in Education of Ukraine,” and the badge of the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions “For Active Work in the Trade Union.” In the 2003-2004 won the first place in the regional competition “Best Graduate of Kharkiv” and was nominated as “The Best Head of the Department”.


1999-2005 – director of the Institute of Computer and Information Technology at Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics;

1996 – received the title of Professor;

1996 – defended doctoral dissertation “Formal Tools for System Description and Design of ACS by Integrated Production” (speciality 05.13.06 – ACS and Progressive Information Technologies).

1994 – present: head of the ACS Department, now the Information Control Systems Department.

1992-1999 – Dean of the School of Foreign Students Training.

1979-1986 – head of the Trade Union Committee of Kharkiv Institute of Radio Electronics.

1977 – Associate Professor, in 1979 received the title of Associate Professor.

1974 – defended Candidates dissertation (PhD) “Development and Investigation of Certain Issues of Operational Control and Management in MICS” (speciality 05.13.01 – control in technical systems).

1970 – worked as an Instructor at the Department of Automation and Telemechanics.

Educational work

As a lecturer he taught the following lecture courses: “Basics of ACS Design”, “Theoretical Foundations of Automated Control”, “Information System Design”, “Technology of Information Systems Development”.

Scientific work

He developed a new scientific course on the issues of creating tools for formal system analysis that allows description on a categorical functional level of the process of designing complex information systems, as well as their structures and status.

He did research in the field of theoretical and methodological fundamentals of complex computer integrated systems design, the description of complex systems and integration of their elements, design of automated tools to support management decisions, automated cost control systems, adaptive integrated business management, etc.

He worked as an administrator and director of scientific research, carried out by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Emergencies, in the field of development of distributed logistic computer systems for organizational and technological control, information and analytical systems for emergencies and the like.

Public and International activity

Member of the Scientific and Methodological Council of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics.

Member of the Special Boards on defense of dissertations for PhD and Doctor of Science academic degrees at Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (D 64.052.01).

Since 1998 – an acting member of the Presidium of the Methodological Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in the field of “Computer Science”.

Since 2002 – a member of the Academy of Sciences of Applied Radio Electronics of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine.

The director of two state-funded and two government-contracted scientific research institutions. He supervises the work of the scientific sections:

  • section of “Development and Reengineering of Information Systems”at the International Youth Forum “Radio Electronics and Youth in the XXI Century”;
  • section of “Theory, Methodology and Tools for the Creation of Integrated Information Control Systems”at the annual International Scientific Conference “Theory and Technology of Transfer, Reception and Processing of Information”.

Publications and patents

He has 305 scientific papers, including 2 certificates of authorship, and he is the co-author of 11 textbooks, in particular, “Adaptive Integrated Control Systems”, “System Design Principles to Ensure an Integrated ACS”, “Object-Oriented Analysis, ICS Analysis and Design based on UML,” “Models and Methods of Decision Making,” and “Operations Research in Information Systems”, “Mathematical Supporting of Information Control Systems”.
