The researchers of the BMI department, Professor Oleg Avrunin and Senior Lecturer Maksym Tymkovych, continue their work on the DAAD Eastern Partnership project with the Institute of Multiphase Processes of the Leibniz University of Hannover. and the Lower Saxony Centre for Biomedical Engineering, Implant Research and Development (NIFE).
The project is directed to the development of software for the automated processing of cryomyroscopic datasets and the acquisition of practical skills in working with modern technologies of 3D-bioprinting. From the German side, the project is supported by Professor Birgit Glasmacher.

Professor Birgit Glasmacher awarded a diploma of Honorary Professor of Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics.

Professor Dr.-Ing. Birgit Glasmacher – is Director of the Institute of Multiphase Processes (IMP) of the Leibniz University in  Hannover (Germany). She became in 2017 an Honorary Professor  (Number of Diploma 43) of Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics (NURE) for near 10 years support and development of joint projects from BMBF, DAAD, Erasmus + programs with Biomedical Engineering Department (BMI). IMP has been working with the research group of professor Oleg Avrunin in the scientific field of creating software for the automated processing and analysis of cryomicroscopic and micro-CT images. During this period, 6 IMP scientists visited the BMI Department in KNURE, and 9 students, 3 PhD- students and several scientists from the BMI Department took part in long-term scientific projects with the Leibniz University in Hannover. We look forward to our further cooperation and great results.
