The use of electronic warfare means (REB) is an important area of information confrontation in the technical field. The object of the scientific activity of a specialist is the research of radio electronic systems (RES) and means functioning in the conditions of information confrontation, when radio-electronic intelligence is being conducted, radio interference is being organized, radio-masking and protection from specially organized radio interruptions are used.
Skills and competences that the Master will have in the field of Radio Electronic Warfare:
- Be able to demonstrate and apply the fundamental knowledge of the principles of counteracting modern REFs of different classes and the purpose and protection of their own RESs from intentional radio interference and destructive effects.
- Know the principles of constructing radio transmitters, radio receivers, antenna-feeder systems of automated stations and REB complexes.
- Ability to work with up-to-date software packages for computer design of radio equipment of the REB complexes.
- Ability to search for priority areas for improving the principles and methods of the EEB at the experimental level of professional activity.
- Electronic Intelligence and Electronic Suppression Systems Development Skills.
- Knowledge of the principles of countering technical intelligence and assessing the effectiveness of electronic warfare.
- Knowledge of economic and socio-legal disciplines that are relevant to the specialty.
