The NavCart team of the Department of Electronic Computers at Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics took part in the final Demo Day of the Student Startup Fund Spring 2026 program, implemented by UNIT.City with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Startup Fund.

Three months of intensive work, mentoring sessions, market analysis, hypothesis testing, and product development helped the team move from a startup idea to a fully functional MVP of an indoor navigation system for users in complex enclosed spaces.

NavCart is about technology, accessibility, and comfort. The solution is designed to help users navigate complex indoor environments more easily, find the necessary goods faster, and make the shopping process more convenient and safer.

Daniil Raptanov, a member of the NavCart team and a student of the SPm-25-1 group, shared his impressions of the program:

“After experiencing this atmosphere, I want to move forward even more – toward new goals and achievements, to invent and create innovations that will change the world.”

The final day of the program became a powerful source of motivation for the team. Strong student teams, promising ideas, founders already building their own startups, and the atmosphere of a dynamic technological environment once again proved that student projects can grow into real innovative products.

The NavCart team expresses its sincere gratitude to those who made this journey significantly easier: Andriy Kovalenko, Head of the Department of Electronic Computers, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor – for supporting the team, assisting with preparation, and providing the opportunity to work using the laboratory facilities of the department; Oleksii Liashenko, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Engineering and Information Technologies, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor – for organizational support and assistance in the team’s participation in the program; and Maksym Shostak, Head of the Primary Trade Union Organization of NURE Students – for his help and support in financing the team’s trip.

Stories like this prove that when there is an idea, a team, university support, and an inspiring environment, a student startup can make a truly powerful start.
The post The NavCart Team of the NURE Department of Electronic Computers Took Part in the Final Demo Day of the Student Startup Fund Spring 2026 Program first appeared on NURE.

Head of the Department of Software Engineering Kyrylo Smelyakov and Associate Professor of the Department of Software Engineering Anastasiia Chupryna continue to develop international research cooperation and represent NURE at the international level.

Within the framework of the strategic partnership between Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, the NURE Department of Software Engineering and Linnaeus University, Sweden, special attention is paid to joint international projects, the exchange of experience, and the development of new research ideas in the fields of digital transformation of education, software engineering and artificial intelligence.

Among the key areas of cooperation are research on the development of higher education in the context of global changes, digitalisation of universities and transformation of educational processes, the use of artificial intelligence in educational activities and international projects, as well as the study of the role of universities in implementing digital innovations and AI-based solutions.

In particular, the researchers focus on the following thematic areas:

Higher Education in a Shifting Global Landscape — higher education in the context of global changes;

Digitalization in Universities — digitalisation of universities and transformation of educational processes;

AI in Projects and Education — the use of artificial intelligence in educational activities and international projects;

Digital Transformation and AI from University Perspective — the role of universities in implementing digital innovations and AI-based solutions.

The development of this cooperation contributes to strengthening NURE’s international presence, expanding academic and research contacts, and creating prerequisites for the university’s participation in new international educational and research initiatives.

Cooperation with European partners opens up additional opportunities for exchanging best practices, introducing modern approaches to the digitalisation of the educational environment, and developing innovative solutions based on artificial intelligence.

From 10 to 13 June 2026, a series of events was held in Köthen, Germany, as part of the international education project “Expanding the Successful German-Ukrainian Education Network” — Erfolgreiches Deutsch-Ukrainisches Bildungsnetzwerk Ausbauen (EDUBA). The events were organised by Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, a partner institution of NURE.

NURE was represented by Professor Oleksandr Lemeshko, Head of the V. V. The Kharkiv delegation also included students Yaroslav Bazukov, Kyrylo Zavadskyi, Yelyzaveta Hrebeniuk, and Oleksandr Sokolov, who plan to continue their Master’s studies at NURE within the double degree programme.

The visit programme, which included numerous working meetings, productive discussions, and professional consultations, was primarily aimed at coordinating the structure and content of NURE’s updated educational and research programme “Telecommunication Systems and Networks” within speciality G5 and Anhalt University of Applied Sciences’ Master’s Double Degree Programme Communication and Embedded Systems (EN).

During a series of meetings, Ukrainian and German professors analysed in detail the titles, content, scope, and sequence of the programme’s educational components. They also discussed the competencies that students are expected to acquire while studying within the double degree programme. The coordinated programme is expected to be implemented from the next academic year.

With the support of the German partners and the personal contribution of EDUBA Project Coordinator Maryna Popova, the key tasks related to the coordination of the educational programmes were successfully completed.

During the visit, NURE students explored their future study environment, including the academic buildings and laboratories of Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Köthen, as well as the university canteen and student residence. They also attended several classes delivered by leading professors who teach the core courses of the Communication and Embedded Systems (EN) Master’s programme.

An important part of the visit was participation in the Open Day of Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. The professors and students of the V. V. Popovskyy Department of Infocommunication Engineering had an opportunity to learn more about the university’s faculties, educational programmes, research achievements, and modern academic infrastructure.

Representatives of the Student Senate of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics participated in the Second All-Ukrainian Forum for Student Government Leaders, “The Voice of Students: From Action to Decisions,” held in Kharkiv on 11–13 June 2026.

The event brought together representatives of student government bodies from higher education institutions across Ukraine. The forum provided a platform for exchanging experience, developing youth initiatives, establishing partnerships, and finding joint solutions to the current challenges faced by Ukrainian students.

As part of the programme, the participants joined strategic sessions, discussions, and practical workshops. One of the key topics was supporting young people’s mental health during the war and in the post-war period. Considerable attention was also paid to creating an inclusive educational environment and supporting students with special educational needs.

Participation in such events enables student leaders to share successful practices, explore new approaches to solving common problems, and coordinate their efforts to promote the further development of student government in Ukraine.

NURE expresses its sincere gratitude to the organisers — the Student Parliament of H. S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University — for the meaningful programme, open dialogue, and opportunity to contribute to the discussion about the future of Ukrainian students.

Together, we are developing student government and strengthening the voice of young people!
The post NURE Student Senate Representatives Participated in the All-Ukrainian Forum for Student Government Leaders first appeared on NURE.
