Brief description of the specialty Publishing and Printing:

As part of the specialty 186 Publishing and printing are studying: design development methods, design and manufacturing technology of printed and electronic multimedia publications, multimedia information products; software and hardware tools for processing, recording, reproducing, storing textual graphic, audio, video and other multimedia information; design and development of WEB-systems (WEB-design, UI / UX) and mobile applications.

Prints include books, newspapers, magazines, promotional products, labels, packaging; among e-books there are e-books, interactive multimedia publications for publication on digital media and mobile devices, and the like; multimedia information products are advertising complexes for publishing on television and the Internet; computer films, videos, gaming and the like.

The skills and competencies that the bachelor of the specialty Publishing and Printing will have:

  1. Ability to design design and in general original layout of print and electronic publications using modern principles of graphic design.
  2. Ability to design technological processes of publishing houses and printing houses based on modern automation tools.
  3. Owning digital image processing technologies, 2D graphics, frame-by-frame animation using graphic design elements .
  4. The ability to implement modern software processing, playback, storage, modeling and promotion of multimedia content.
  5. Possession of hardware and software for creating computer 2D, 3D graphics and animation, post-processing video and 3D graphics, working with VFX visual effects, using them to create multimedia content.
  6. Ability to create full-featured media products, design UI / UX interfaces, develop mobile applications based on open interactive components.
  7. Ability to design and develop electronic multimedia publications, multimedia information products and Web-systems.
  8. Ability to develop multimedia applications, test, assess quality and promote mobile applications.
  9. Knowledge of gaming technology, creating 3D game characters (modeling, sculpturing, retopology, texturing and animation ), control of the movement of characters.
  10. The ability to use and implement modern scientific methods and automated systems in the publishing and printing process.
  11. The ability to form a management system and manage business processes of multimedia digital publishing houses and printing companies.
