We are glad to invite Kharkiv JavaScript developers to attend GlobalLogic Kharkiv JS TechTalk # 2!

01.08.2018

Practical experts in JavaScript and everyone interested in this programming language will learn about using redux-saga for handling side effects, delve into Node.js internals, and study the interaction between V8 and the operating system. Also, attendants will learn about Node.js blockchain implementation and usage. As a result, each participant will obtain a whole range of tools for efficient working with JS.

A hearty welcome awaits all the participants, with pleasant surprises, aromatic coffee, and snacks.

Venue: Kharkiv (the address details will be provided to the participants upon registration).

Date and time: August 17 (Friday), 18:30–22:15.

Speakers and Presentations:

1) “Node.js Internals and V8 / Operating System Interaction” — Artur Torosian (Software Engineer, Consultant, GlobalLogic, Kharkiv)

Artur Torosian is a back-end developer, consultant at GlobalLogic. Artur is engaged in the development of software parts on Node.js using contemporary task implementation approaches.

During the presentation, you will go over secrets under the hood of Node.js and discover how exactly it communicates with the operation system.

Also, asynchronous behavior implementation on Node.js will be dwelt upon and the ways of applying this knowledge for solving business tasks presented.

2) “Node.js Blockchain Implementation” — Valerii Radchenko (Senior Software Engineer, Consultant, GlobalLogic, Kharkiv)

Valerii Radchenko is an experienced full-stack JavaScript developer specializing in the development of flexible high-load Web applications using the most recent JavaScript technology stack. Another area of Valerii’s expertise is the development and implementation of microservices-based solutions. Valerii will present basics of the blockchain architecture with case studies of JavaScript blockchain implementation using Node.js.

He will also share his vision on the prospects of employing the technology for practical tasks.

3) “Using Redux-Saga for Handling Side Effects” — Igor Nesterenko (Lead Software Engineer, Consultant, GlobalLogic, Kharkiv)

Igor Nesterenko is a full-stack JavaScript-developer with a 9-year experience in the field. He is primarily active in the front-end development process organization, complex UI interfaces development, and front end/back end interaction.

In his presentation Igor will consider theoretical basics of using the redux-saga library, which was created for facilitating the organization of the so-called “side effects” (for example, asynchronous operations). The event participants will obtain from Igor practical tips on using saga in real-life projects.
