Internationalization of higher education

Social Informatics Department of Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics has won a grant from the British Council to carry out this program.

The concept of internationalization in higher education in the international practice traditionally includes several aspects:

  • individual mobility: the mobility of students and teaching staff for educational purposes;
  • educational programs and institutional mobility;
  • integration into international format of educational programs and educational standards;
  • institutional partnership.

The University of Southampton,that is a partner of the NURE, is also one of the largest and most prestigious universities in the United Kingdom and a member of The Worldwide Universities Network.According to various polls,the University regularly ranked in the top twenty educational centers in the country, as well as the Top Ten National Student survey. The UniversityofSouthampton occupies leading positions in the teaching of law, chemistry, engineering, computer science and management.

In the course of cooperation,the joint participation of partners in European programs, financed by the EU, will be explored and applications for research and educational grants under the ERASMUS + (European Union program (2014-2020) aimed at improving professional skills, the modernization of education and implementation of new educational projects) and HORIZON2020 (research fundingprograms) will be also formed.

The priorities of the project are the maintenance of the current joint development and strengthening scientific contacts between the Faculty of Engineering and Environment at the University of Southampton and the Department of Social Informatics at NURE.

It will be also identified the areas of common interests in education and research, and the discussions related to education reforms and harmonization of educational programs will be also held.
