Laboratory of Intelligent Systems and Technologies

Laboratory fulfils the research in the following areas:

  • intelligent processing of information in large bases of poorly structured data, on-line processing in non-stationary, stochastic, chaotic conditions, overcoming the limitations of the “curse of dimension” type. Development of the Collective Awareness Platform;
  • systems and methods of computing intelligence in the framework of data mining (data mining), forecasting, extrapolation, construction of associative rules, diagnostics, classification, clusterization;
  • intelligent semantic analysis, analysis of unstructured data in real-time (Data Stream), construction and analysis of behavioral profiles, intellectual context search;
  • visual temporal analysis, mapping of the chronology of events, there was a temporary division, operative detection of latent spatio-temporal regularities between events, general profile analysis, comparative analysis, analysis of peculiarities e. profile (specific profile analysis).

The main results are:

A unique intelligent criminal data analysis system RICAS has been developed that unites in the single space the basic and most advanced methods and techniques of criminal analysis and analytical search in real time, which allows to significantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the disclosure of hot-brilliant crimes and crimes that have not been disclosed before.

RICAS allows you to perform the following types of analysis:

  • crime pattern analysis;
  • general profile analysis;
  • analysis of a specific case (case analysis);
  • comparative analysis (comparative analysis);
  • analysis of group crime (offender group analysis);
  • profile profile analysis;
  • analysis of investigations (investigation analysis).
