Participation in Seminars on Digital Criminalistics in Germany
The Teacher training for the Web-security course and the Digital Forensic course were organized in Budenheim, Germany on 14 – 18 December. Teacher trainings and workshop were held on the basis of the Federal Police of Germany (BKA) training centers “Schloß Waldthausen”. The representatives of Swedish, Ukrainian, Russian and Polish universities took part in the training.
The coordination meeting was in the beginning of the event. Anders Carlsson and Rune Gustavsson (BTH, Sweden) focused on the current state of the project and concepts of the high education quality criteria. The main criteria of CDIO that help harmonize education process were discussed. New teachers from the partner universities became acquainted with the course developers’ teams.
Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics is an active participant of the project and coordinator from the Ukrainian part of ENGENSEC consortium. Three representatives of the university took part in the meeting: Oksana Yevsieieva (professor, Department of Telecommunication Systems), Arkady Snegurov (Dean, Faculty of Telecommunications and Instrumentation), Elena Tkacheva (Associate Professor, Department of Telecommunication Systems).
The training participants were divided into two groups: Digital Forensic and Web security. Each team consists of course developers and university teachers who are going to teach students these topics. During the trainings teams analyzed the developed course materials, including lectures and labs, made conclusions about the data visualization and materials completeness. Invited university teachers left a feed back about the quality of the developed course modules.
There are some changes to the Digital Forensic course material after the training. The training participants corrected and updated an introduction lectures. The final lecture to the course was created. There was a decision about the changes to the labs format for the better student motivation. Training participants decided to develop the additional materials for the network forensic lecture.
As a main result of these teacher trainings, the courses developers have got the information for the finalizing and polishing their course curriculum and teaching materials. The schedule of the teacher trainings for other ENGENSEC courses is in the process of clarification.
