NURE signed partnership agreements with leading universities of Morocco


The delegation of the Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics has signed cooperation agreements with two universities of the Kingdom of Morocco – Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University and the International University of Rabat. Signed memorandums of partnership provide the creation of double degree programs, joint research projects, the implementation of the general academic and educational programs, preparation of joint publications, the faculty and student exchanges, including Erasmus +, the mobility of teachers, researchers and students. Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University, located in Fes – a public University that belongs to the TOO-3 higher educational institutions of the Kingdom. The university, which is one of the oldest and one of the largest on the African continent, has about 100 thousand students, including 12 thousand foreign ones. The structure of the university includes 13 institutes and research centers, it has more than 100 laboratories. Today the Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University is implementing a comprehensive reform in the framework of which creates a series of modern specialties for applicants, which, in particular, opens up new opportunities for international cooperation. 

UIR (International University of Rabat), located in the Moroccan capital Rabat, united under the aegis of its international university science park “Technopolis” (center of excellence in the field of research and development, a national leader in the field of innovation) and a group of innovative companies, UIR which is a co-founder. Today it is one of the most advanced universities in Morocco, where 6 thousand students are studying. UIR, created with the financial support of the Government and the Moroccan investment fund the CDG, supports major national projects in the energy, industrial, aerospace and automotive industries, logistics, sustainable development projects. It is significant that the university adds products and developments to the list of patents in the field of renewable energy annually. 

From the NURE side, both agreements were signed by Vice-Rector for scientific and methodical work Stanislav Ignatiev, from Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University – President of the University Omar Assobhey and Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Mulhim El Bekkali on the side of UIR – Vice President for R&D Abdelaziz Benzhua.

Delegation of NURE have visited Morocco in August to lay the foundations for cooperation with this country, which in NURE considered strategically important for the alignment of its international relations.
