European Union: the development of LLL policies
5-7.10.2015 in Coimbra University (Portugal) the consortium meeting of the Tempus project “A Network for Developing Lifelong Learning in Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine (LeAGUe)”543839-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-SE-TEMPUS-SMHES was held; funded by the European Union with the active participation of the Ministries of Education and Science of Ukraine, Armenia and Georgia.
The representative persons from 3 Ministry of Education and Science from Ukraine, Georgia and Armenia were present:
Anna Novosad – Head of the Department for International Relations and European Integration, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine; Karine Kostanyan from Ministry of Education and Science of Republic Armenia; Maia Shukhoshvili from Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
There were present over 50 participants from Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Denmark, Portugal and Sweden.
There were representatives from: Armenia National Agrarian University, Gavar State University(Armenia), Russian – Armenian (Slavonic) University, Vanadzor State Pedagogical Institute (Armenia), Armenian Lifelong Learning League, Ilia State University (Georgia), Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University, (Georgia), University of Georgia, Adult Education Association of Georgia, Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics (Ukraine), National Technical University of Ukraine Kyiv Polytechnic Ins., Odessa National Polytechnic University (Ukraine), T.Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Ukraine), Technical University of Denmark, University of Coimbra, (Portugal), Angel Kanchev University of Ruse (Bulgaria).
The meeting focused on results:
- Analysis of the current situation of LLL in the partner countries;
- Analysis of the stages of development of pilot LLL- courses;
Representatives of the Ministry has assessed the prospects of development of LLL in Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine;
All the participants took part in a seminar on the development of the pilot LLL-course, which included five stages:
- The creation of LLL-courses content and distribution by modules / hours according to Bolognia process;
- The principles of creating LLL-courses;
- Planning activities and teaching methods in the LLL-courses;
- Description of control and monitoring systems in LLL – course;
- A detailed description of each training module (for each hour of activity), form of training, training methods and approaches of knowledge control.
All participants took an active part in this seminar with the staff from Coimbra University.
All materials and technology for LLL-course creation has got by representatives from universities – partners of the project.
The results of this project is very important for Ukraine because citizens will have access to quality programs LLL, pilot courses to obtain competitive knowledge and promoting their employment.
