There was a Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Pardubice (Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, FEEI UPa), Czech Republic and the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (Faculty of Telecommunications and Instrumentation, KhNURE), Ukraine signed in 2015. As an implementation of the Memorandum, the University of Pardubice prepared application for participating in the European Mobility Programme Erasmus+ (KA107 International Credit Mobility). The application was approved by the European Commission and the Inter-institutional agreement 2016-2017/18 between FEEI UPa and KhNURE was signed. The agreement provided for an exchange of staff members and students, namely, 2 staff members and 3 students from KhNURE, and 1 staff member and 1 student from FEEI. The duration of the teaching mobility is 2 weeks, while the student mobility is 3 months long.
On April 13 – 27, 2017 two staff members of the Department of Information and Network Engineering (formerly called the Department of Communication Networks) visited the University of Pardubice. The nominee were the head of the Department, prof. Bezruk V.М. and senior lecturer of the Department, Fedorov O.V. During this period, two courses for 17 hours each were taught for students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics. There were two main subjects of lectures: “Researching into Electric Communication Systems by the Method of Statistical Modeling” (prof. Bezruk V.M.) and “Designing for Experiments in Problems of Signal Recognition” (Fedorov O.V.). In addition to teaching activities, prof. Bezruk V.М. and Fedorov O.V. got acquainted with the laboratories of the department of Electrical Engineering and peculiarities of the department educational process.
Along with delivering lectures, prof. Bezruk V.М. and senior lecturer Fedorov O.V. took part in The Microwave and Radio Electronics Week 2017 – MAREW 2017 (Brno, Czech Republic, April 19 – 21, 2017) with a joint paper “Detecting Unknown Signals in Radio Monitoring Systems” by Bezruk V., Fedorov O. and Nemec Z.
Possible directions of scientific research into subjects of mutual interest were discussed with the dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, prof. Nemec Zdenek and the head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, prof. Pidanic Jan. After a series of meetings, areas of mutual interest were found and plans for implementing joint projects, writing articles and preparing reports were drawn up. The curricula for training 3 master students from KhNURE during the winter semester of 2017/18 academic year were agreed and details of the reciprocal Erasmus+ visit to KhNURE were discussed.
